This book did not waste anytime jumping into action. Serena, who is plagued with nightmares of her death, is attacked by a foul, decomposing catapults her into a new world filled with creatures, magic and the fight of her life. Serena is a loner but soon becomes surrounded with people she cannot only trust, but who she will fight to protect with her life.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a fast paced which I am not use to but liked. I also did not know much about Norse Gods which made this new world fascinating. Serena's dorky traits were so endearing such as talking to herself, her love of foods and her funny, sarcastic remarks. All of these traits I also possess. She is such an easy character to relate to. I thought the guides at the back of the book, Serena's famous chocolate chip cookie recipe and the stories of the Norse Gods were a great addition to the book. I cannot wait for the next book, Daughter of Eldamar, to come out in 2018!
I really recommend you go read this book. It has action, fantasy, adventure with a bit of romance!
